Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Answer technical support phone calls, open support tickets and address client requests
  • Installation and troubleshooting of hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers, disk drives, network servers, routers, and firewalls
  • Ability to diagnose basic IT and computer systems issues; hardware, software, networking, server, VPN and operator problems
  • Responsible for meeting Client Service SLA goals
  • Resolve and provides updates, status, and completion information to client in a professional manner
  • Troubleshoot & research business application, PC, server and network hardware errors
  • Provide technical support both via phone and onsite service during the normal working hours
  • Install, remove, test and configure PC operating systems, software and hardware
  • Provide user assistance as needed on operating systems, software and hardware usage and procedures
  • Provide on-call emergency services after business hours, holiday and weekends as required
Must be familiar with the following technologies:
  • Microsoft Server Software (Server 2000, 2003, 2008, Exchange, SQL Server)
  • Windows XP, Vista, 7
  • Cloud Technologies (Google Apps, Office365, Box, VDI, etc.)
  • Mobile Technologies (Android, Apple iOS)
  • TCP/IP network troubleshooting
  • Routers and Firewalls (Cisco, Linksys, Netgear, DD-WRT, etc.)
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Various Anti-Malware software
  • Various Backup Software
  • Various Anti-SPAM products
  • Ethernet Network Cabling
  • VPN remote access configuration & troubleshooting
  • Network printer troubleshooting
  • Active Directory Administration
  • Network Administration
Requirements and Certifications
  • 2 years or greater IT support experience in business environments
  • College degree
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, Apple, Dell, etc.) desired
